Artist Gaston Carrio is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has lived and worked in the United States since 2001. He worked as an architect in both countries and traveled the world designing architectural projects. Carrio’s architecture career took an artistic turn when he started incorporating more art into his daily endeavors. In 2009, he received the ‘SOLO’ Award at Art Expo New York.
Two of Carrio’s sculptural designs are permanent installations among The Woodlands Art Benches—the designs are detailed on ArtByArchitect.com, a showcase of paintings, sculptures and metal work that Carrio creates in his 2,500-square-foot art studio in Houston, Texas, where he has lived and worked since 2012.
Carrio has garnered a multitude of design accolades with his architectural and artistic work. He has published books and has been featured in various publications/articles. Carrio travels to exhibit his art to existing and potential collectors, and his work is displayed in private residences as well as commercial spaces in several countries. Carrio received his U.S. citizenship in 2018, becoming a vibrant image of the American dream.
