The Woodlands Resort - The Oaks
The Oaks offers a test for golfers of all skill levels. It’s easy to understand how the course got its name when you look around at the towering, beautiful oak trees! The course features large green spaces, huge greenside bunkers and generous fairways. Part of the course borders Lake Harrison and adds to the natural beauty and challenge of The Oaks.

Guests of The Woodlands Resort can make tee times when making room reservations, otherwise, tee times require a one-week advance reservation.
Augusta Pines is an 18-hole golf (semi-private) club located just outside The Woodlands in Spring. The course is designed by Tour 18, Inc and features a state-of-the-art practice facility (including six target greens and sand bunkers). The course negotiates mature pines, dogwoods and oaks. The fairways are Baby Bermuda grass, while the greens and tees feature TifEagle. A total of 30 acres of lakes come into play on eleven of the eighteen holes.

The 18-hole West Fork Golf & Country Club just north of The Woodlands in Conroe is a public golf course that opened in 2004. West Fork Golf & Country Club measures 6,908 yards from the longest tee. The course features four sets of tees for different skill levels. Rental carts are included in the green fee and there is a pro golfer on site!

Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf
Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf off of Gosling Road in Spring have a mix of golf and disc golf games for play. Spring Valley is an executive 9 hole design and is an ideal golf venue for small groups, business outings or school team practice. It’s also a great place for families to play a casual round of golf. The disc golf course is one of the most technical and challenging courses in Southeast Texas.
Rates: 8 a.m. to Noon: 9 holes walking $15, 18 holes walking, $22 Twilight: 9 holes walking $17, 18 holes walking, $23 *add $5 - $12 depending on times for a golf cart.
Disc Golf
Disc golf is a version of golf that is played with frisbee like discs and baskets at each “hole.” It’s a fun outdoor activity with plenty of walking for the entire family. Did we mention that access to these two-disc golf parks are free? Just bring your own discs and you’ll be sinking them in no time!
One of the most popular disc golf locations is Bear Branch Sportsfield Park at 5205 Research Forest Drive. The course is wooded with a varied terrain which includes elevation changes.
There is a great nine-hole disc golf course at Terramont Park. The course includes lots of elevation changes which is uncommon in the Houston area. The community park also has playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, skateboard and bike area plus a dog park.

Most golf courses and country clubs have a golf instructor on site for lessons and other clinics. Besides the courses mentioned above, we found lessons offered at these locations around The Woodlands:
