Celebrate World Tai Chi Qigong Day (WTCQD)
Join the world wide celebration of good health and global healing at the 12th Annual World Tai Chi Day - The Woodlands gathering. WTCQD is a worldwide event involving over 80 countries. The purpose of this day is to introduce the public to the health benefits of tai chi. It is also a chance for tai chi students to come together and share different aspects of tai chi.
World Tai chi Day - The Woodlands is the longest running WTCQD gathering in SE Texas. This year the gathering will be on April 24, 2021 at The Woodlands Recreation Center, Rob Fleming, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX. It begins at 9:00 AM and will last until 12:00 PM. The public is invited to attend free workshops and demonstrations throughout the day. Everyone present can join the qigong and tai chi group practices starting at 9:45.
This year’s gathering is hosted by The Woodlands Recreation Center, and Tai Chi Martial Arts (TCMA). Unfortunately, last year’s event was postponed and then cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This year’s gathering is celebrating the opening of the state and a new beginning for everyone. In order to allow everyone to participate in this year’s event, we will host a virtual gathering and a live event.
