The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill (every Saturday, all year long)
A gathering of local purveyors, farmers and artisans showcasing their wares.


Waterway Nights (Spring and Summer)
A free live concert series at Waterway Square on The Woodlands Waterway. Saturdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Rock the Row (Summer and Fall)
A free live concert series at Hughes Landing on Lake Woodlands. Thursdays, 7 – 9 p.m.

Concerts in the Park (Spring and Fall)
A free live concert series at Northshore Park on Lake Woodlands. Sundays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Inspire Film Festival

The Woodlands Marathon and Half Marathon 
This marathon in The Woodlands is a Boston Marathon qualifier and is the fastest course in Texas on average. The Woodlands Marathon is one the top 25 fastest marathons in the country. 


Take the ultimate challenge and compete in IRONMAN Texas, where participants swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles with a photo-perfect finish on Waterway Avenue. 

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival 
This popular arts festival in The Woodlands features more than 200 artists, performing arts, live music, food stations, and fun activities for all ages. You simply cannot miss one of the most beloved annual events in The Woodlands. 


Memorial Day 
Celebrate military servicemen and women with this annual Memorial Day celebration in The Woodlands at Town Green Park. 

Spring Fine Arts Show at Market Street 
Attend this free art show where amateur and professional artists showcase metal works, sculptures, paintings, mixed media, jewelry and other works of art. Live music and art demonstrations also take place in this fun family-friendly event. 

Woodforest Bank Triathlon 
The Woodforest Bank TRI is great for athletes of all levels and caters to first-time triathlon participants and has shorter distances for each event—500-meter open swim, 12.8-mile bike, and a 5K run. This triathlon ends with a party!

Muddy Trails Bash
The running course winds through the beautiful George Mitchell Nature Preserve, located on 1,800 acres adjacent to Rob Fleming Park. The post-race party includes live zydeco music, the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off and children's activities.


Wine & Food Week 
Celebrate the best wine and food in The Woodlands at this week-long celebration where you’ll dine with chefs and drink with winemakers. 


Red, Hot & Blue Festival 
Make Independence Day a party to remember with the annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival, featuring a full day of events and multiple fireworks shows in and around town. 


Labor Day 
Enjoy family fun at The Woodlands’ annual Labor Day celebration at Waterway Square, which includes children’s activities, live music and a fireworks show. 


Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 
The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas is an annual series of races that include a 10-mile race, the 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K, and One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run through The Woodlands. 


Ice Skating
Ice skating in The Woodlands takes place in a winter wonderland inside The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Event Center. Open from mid-November through mid-January. 

Junior League Holiday Market 
Get all your holiday shopping done at the Junior League Holiday Market in The Woodlands. There will be photos with Santa, delicious food, and lots and lots of shopping. 

Lighting of the Doves
This annual winter festival kicks off the holiday season with an evening of fun activities at Town Green Park leading to a countdown of the official lighting of the doves throughout the park and around The Woodlands, setting the town alight with holiday cheer. 

YMCA Run Thru The Woods 
A Thanksgiving morning tradition in The Woodlands. Justify all the eating you’ll do later with a one, three, or five-mile run or walk!
