Public Art

The Woodlands is home to one of the largest collections of public art in the State of Texas. From mosaics and sculptures to a growing collection of art benches, there are many pieces to view, enjoy, and interact with.

ART BENCH PROJECT

Since 2014, more than 20 art benches have been commissioned and installed in prime locations near The Woodlands Waterway and Lake Woodlands. These benches are usable public art that increases awareness and appreciation of the arts.

MOSAICS

There are more than 21 mosaics in The Woodlands for public viewing. These mosaics have been created by renowned artists, most from the area, showcasing the world-class talent that can be found here. Several were created by the nationally-celebrated Houston artist Dixie Friend Gay, and others were created by artist Denise Liebl and Alex Bunch.

ART BIKE LOOPS

Bring your bike with you for a self-guided art tour. With miles of pathways to ride and dozens of art pieces to view, plan your ride and enjoy one of the 7 Public Art Loops suggested by the Bike The Woodlands Coalition.
