When professional associations require software to streamline operations, they turn to Novi AMS. When Novi AMS required a venue to host its annual conference, it turned to Visit The Woodlands.
As VP of Customer Growth for Novi AMS, Jenn Norman manages the planning and execution of Novi Summit. For the 2026 summit, Jenn partnered with Visit The Woodlands to curate a “Camp Novi” themed event at The Woodlands Resort. The summit ultimately brought more than 400 business executives, association professionals, and meeting planners to The Woodlands, showcasing the destination as a safe, walkable, and beautifully natural setting to host future conferences and events.
I’ve been with the company since the first line of code, which was almost 11 years ago. Now I head up sales, marketing, third-party partnerships, and the annual Novi Summit.
Our mission is to amplify the change our customers create. We strive to streamline our technology to make their jobs easier and more efficient, which helps them to better support their customers.
Before our first summit, our customers wanted to meet with each other to exchange ideas and best practices. In 2019, we began to facilitate those meetings, bringing people together to network, share their success stories, discuss pain points, and brainstorm solutions—and maybe have a little fun along the way.
The opening reception was a big hit, thanks to the awesome activations coordinated by Visit The Woodlands. There’s also the “Did You (K)Novi That?” session, which highlights our latest updates as well as some underutilized features. The “You Decide” closer puts our customers in the driver’s seat, meaning we give them a budget, and they select the software and features that we develop next. It’s a lot of fun.
TSAE New Ideas Conference 2024
I actually learned about it through the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE), which hosted its 2024 New Ideas Conference in The Woodlands. It was such a great experience: the hotel property, the different dining districts, and of course the warm welcome from Visit The Woodlands. That was my first time here, and I knew it wouldn’t be the last.
The Woodlands just fits so well with our team and our customers. We were searching for a location where we could unwind and enjoy some casual outdoor activities. There’s so much natural beauty here. It’s peaceful, and you really feel like part of the community. It’s a nice change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Reach out to Visit The Woodlands. They have an amazing variety of resources, and they do a fantastic job of utilizing them. Everything was beautifully tailored to our “Camp Novi” theme, from Double Vision’s custom embroidered handkerchiefs to the personalized cookies by an award-winning Food Network chef.
One little tradition we have is what we call “pass the bacon.” Whenever we want to recognize someone for a big win, or if they share a great idea in a meeting, then we’ll give them this bacon-shaped pin. Then when that person wants to recognize someone else, they’ll “pass the bacon” again. Then the cycle continues.
Residents of The Woodlands should be really proud of Visit The Woodlands. They are incredible about spreading the good word about your destination and bringing a positive light to this area. I am excited to continue working alongside them.
