Board of Directors
Visit The Woodlands is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. The Board of Directors set policies and recommends the budget for Visit The Woodlands’ marketing programs and sales outreach. Three Directors are appointed by The Woodlands Township, where they also serve on the board and are elected by the community at large. The other six Directors are elected by The Township Directors. All nine Directors serve on a volunteer basis and serve two-year terms. View the Board of Directors meeting schedule here.
BRUCE RIESER Chairman
As a retired executive from British Airways, Bruce serves as the Chairman for Visit The Woodlands. He is also a Director for The Woodlands Township where he serves on the COVID-19 Budget Task Force, the Drainage Task Force, The Woodlands Road Utility District, Ad Hoc Economic Development Committee and the Incorporation Planning Task Force.
JOHN ANTHONY BROWN Vice Chairman
As the facilities supervisor for Huntsman International at its corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, John Anthony serves as the Vice-Chairman for Visit The Woodlands. He is also a Director for The Woodlands Township where he serves on serves on Investment Committee, the Development Standards Committee and the Audit Committee.
JEFF JONES Director
As President/General Manager of The Woodlands Township, Jeff reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for coordinating, directing, and managing all activities related to The Woodlands Township.
DR. SHELLEY SEKULA-GIBBS Director
Dr. Gibbs is as a board-certified dermatologist, previously elected official, clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, community volunteer and an elected member of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors.
TED HARRIS Director
As General Manager for The Woodlands Mall, Ted oversees daily operations. The Woodlands Mall features more than 150 stores including retail, restaurants, office space and more.
JENNY TAYLOR Director
As General Manager for Market Street, Jenny oversees daily operations of the shopping and entertainment destination that features retail, restaurants, a movie theater, office space and a hotel.
CAMERON KLEPAC Director
Cameron is the Director of Marketing and Education for The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Pavilion exists to put The Arts into the community's hands. As an iconic concert venue, they host world-class contemporary shows and seek to introduce new audiences to a wide array of arts, from symphonies to ballets and operas.
J.J. HOLLIE Director
J.J. is the President and CEO of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber works to make the area better by advocating for the business community, creating marketing and networking opportunities, serving as a professional and community resource and supporting local nonprofits.
