Concerts & Live Music

The Woodlands has its own rhythm. When you visit, you’ll feel the beat. Waves in the waters, corks being popped, brushstrokes on canvases. And music is the thread that ties it all together. This city celebrates its musical culture in big and small ways all year long. If you’re looking for live music and concerts in The Woodlands, you won’t have to look far. Throughout the week, you’ll find favorite local and regional musicians on stage at coffeehouses, bars, restaurants, patios and parks throughout town. And if energetic concerts by the most famous performers in the world are more your speed, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is just the place for you.

The Pavilion has been consistently ranked by Pollstar magazine in the “Top 10 Outdoor Amphitheaters in the World.” The list of legends that have played here includes Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band, and Ozzy Osbourne. It’s also the “home away from home” for the Houston Ballet, the “summer home” for the Houston Symphony, and a presenting venue for the Houston Grand Opera.

There are three free concert series throughout the year: Waterway Nights at Waterway Square on Saturdays in the spring and summer; Rock the Row at Hughes Landing on Thursdays in the summer and fall; and Concerts in the Park at Northshore Park on Sundays during the spring and fall. The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill takes place every Saturday all year long and regularly hosts live music next to the local artisans, farmers and purveyors selling their goods.

Other venues with live music in The Woodlands are spread across its villages. Como Social Club Poolside Terrace & Bar hosts live music on Fridays and Saturdays and is always a crowd-pleaser. This hip lounge is connected to The Westin at The Woodlands with stunning views of The Woodlands Waterway. Local Pour has live music Thursday through Sunday. Hang out at Mahoney’s Texish Bar & Restaurant for delicious food and drinks and live music all week long. Dosey Doe’s Big Barn was named the “Live Music Venue of the Year” by the Texas Country Music Association. You can count on live music at The Refuge Bar & Bistro every Friday and Saturday.

Truly, the list goes on, so if you’re looking for live music in The Woodlands tonight, check out our calendar of events for the latest.
