Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas

APRIL 27, 2024

Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas draws athletes and spectators to The Woodlands from around the world each year. The triathlon leads athletes along a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run throughout The Woodlands and its surrounding areas. The race starts with a swim that takes place in Lake Woodlands and ends with a run entirely within The Woodlands that concludes with a finish along the picturesque Woodlands Waterway across The Waterway Avenue Bridge.

SPECTATORS WELCOME

Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas has been named the "Best Run Course" in North America based on athlete surveys from 2023. It's considered one of the most spirited run courses on the circuit thanks to the spectators that come to cheer on triathletes.

Everyone is welcome to watch and cheer on IRONMAN participants, especially at the finish line on Waterway Avenue and the lively "Hippie Hollow" along The Woodlands Waterway. This section of the run course gives triathletes a boost during their run, featuring costumed performers, music, tie-dye banners and lots of cheering from the sidelines.
