Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas

APRIL 24, 2027

The Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas is an annual triathlon that draws athletes and spectators to The Woodlands from around the world. This pulse-pounding competition begins with a 2.4-mile swim around Lake Woodlands, followed by a 112-mile bike ride throughout The Woodlands and beyond. The third and final event leads athletes along a 26.2-mile run (set entirely within The Woodlands) with a finish line at the picturesque Waterway Avenue Bridge. Book your hotel stay now for a front row seat to all the action!

Two women cheer on IRONMAN athletes running along The Waterway. They're holding up signs by Visit The Woodlands that read, "TAP HERE TO POWER UP" and "I don't know you, but I'm so proud of you!"

Spectators Welcome

Everyone is welcome to watch and cheer on IRONMAN participants, especially at the lively "Hippie Hollow" along The Woodlands Waterway. This section of the run course features costumed performers, music, tie-dye banners, and lots of cheering to give triathletes a boost as they near the finish line on Waterway Avenue.

Athletes' Choice Awards

Across all IRONMAN series events that took place in 2025, athletes ranked Memorial Herman IRONMAN Texas 1st in Best Run Course in North America and 2nd Best Run Course Globally, maintaining its North American rank and exceeding its global rank of 4th in 2024. The Woodlands run course is widely considered one of the most spirited tracks on the circuit thanks to the spectators that come to cheer on triathletes.
