You may have noticed when it comes to beer, the menu is changing. It’s not just bars that are carrying cool options for cool brews. More restaurants in The Woodlands are serving up craft beer in the bottle and on tap. From blondes to stouts, there are now more beer styles and brands to choose from.


Local Pour at Hughes Landing puts a focus on the word “local”. They aim to use local ingredients when possible for menu curation and drink selection. You’ll find a wall of craft beers on tap, with choices changing out for various seasons. Most beer and ale picks are brought in from local breweries and microbreweries in the Houston and surrounding areas. Stop by for live music on Friday and Saturday nights and watch for other specials during the week.


Morton’s Grille says they proudly sell Texas Brews! Craft beer selections include Spindletap’s “Honey Hole”, Live Oak’s “Big Bark” and Southern Star’s “Bombshell Blonde” Ale. You’ll also find a large selection of IPA and seasonal selections from Karbach, Saint Arnold and Shiner. Craft beers are available on special during Morton’s signature “Power Hour” Sunday - Friday afternoons in the bar area.


Enjoy your favorite craft beer on the patio overlooking the waterway at The Goose’s Acre. Rotating craft beer selections include Goose Island 312, Karbach Seasonal picks and Saint Arnold Lawnmower, to name a few. You can’t go wrong with the Chips & Three dips appetizer to share. It includes queso, guacamole, and salsa! Watch for events like Goose’s Acre Running club and Sunday Funday Brunch.


The Kitchen offers a carefully curated collection of craft beers, all priced at retail and available to pick up and take out, or to enjoy with your meal. The beer program is managed by restaurant partners who are knowledgeable beer enthusiasts and are always available to help suggest a new brew based on what you already like, or introduce you to new favorites. The craft beer collection is updated often with new and seasonal offerings.

They also keep six always rotating beers on tap, and host Tap Takeovers with different breweries on the first Friday of every month. During Tap Takeover, guests can enjoy $5 pints from 6 to 9 p.m., plus free tastings and more. This vintage-inspired “refuge” along The Woodlands Waterway is a great spot to grab a cool craft beer. Expect to find craft beer on draft from breweries like Cycler’s Brewing, Legal Draft Beer Co., Lone Pint Brewery, Under the Radar Brewery and Platypus Brewing to name a few. Selections are on cask, on nitro or available for growler fills.


True Food Kitchen has a local rotating selection of seasonal beers. They also carry local rotating IPA brews. You’ll always find healthy and fresh menu options with menus that change with the seasons.  Look for special events like “Yoga and Brunch” on select weekends.


Fielding’s Wood Grille always has 14 rotating taps and craft kegs on deck. You’ll find choices like Beat Your Face from Fulbrook Ale Works, Crawford Bock from Karbach Brewing Co and Yellow Rose from Lone Pint Brewery. Enjoy craft beer during Live Music Mondays and other special events.
