Spark curiosity and early learning at the traveling exhibit currently at The Woodlands Children's MuseumCurious George™: Let’s Get Curious! allows for young children to learn and play imaginatively while entering the world of the beloved book character and his friend, The Man in the Yellow Hat.

Insider Tip: Most of the signage for this exhibit is also in Spanish! The exhibit easily serves both Spanish and English readers and encourages bilingual literacy.

CONSTRUCTION SITE

Have an architect in the family? The construction site is the perfect exhibit piece to teach children about what they do! Complete with a drafting table, this area allows children to draw and create their own blueprints. Afterward, they can don a construction hat and safety vest to begin building, by using the hand-cranked conveyor belt to move blocks up. The fun doesn't stop there, use the oversized construction materials to build a fort!

Produce Stand at The Woodlands Children's Museum

PRODUCE STAND

Make a stop by the produce stand and play shopper or salesperson! After sorting and weighing the produce, the shoppers can check out with the cashier. Both the customer and salesperson can sort and count the fruits and vegetables while interacting with one another.

MINI GOLF

Use pipes, bumpers, and ramps to experiment with physics and engineering as you play through two holes of mini-golf!

Wind and Farm at The Woodlands Children's Museum

FARM

Head out to the country and visit the farm. Care for the animals and learn about cause and effect by using wind power. Children can play with wind machines to see which items they can move.

CITY PARK

Take a break with a walk in the City Park. This urban green space is much like some of the parks you can find in The Woodlands! Relax on the bench or stop to hug and take a photo with Curious George.

HISTORY OF GEORGE

Learn new things about George and his creators. Follow the journey of  Jewish Germans, H.A. and Margret Rey as they fled from France during World War II and eventually escaped to New York City. This exhibit features recreations of journal entries and photos from the authors as well as details about their life together and the beginning of Curious George.

TICKETS

Admittance is $7 per person for adults and children ages one and up. There is no additional admittance fee for museum members. Purchase tickets online here.

Insider Tip: Guests who are members of the Association of Children's Museums Reciprocal Network will receive 50% off of general admission to The Woodlands Children's Museum.

  • Tuesday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious! traveling exhibit is on loan from the Minnesota Children's Museum and will be at The Woodlands Children's Museum through May 14, 2022.
