The Great Texas Birding Classic

Join The Woodlands Township team as they compete in the Great Texas Birding Classic, the largest birdwatching tournament in the state! This year, our team is participating in the “Big Sit” category—spotting and identifying as many birds as possible from one fixed location.

Residents of all ages are invited to The Lookout Bird Blind to observe the action, help identify birds, or simply enjoy a peaceful morning in nature. Whether you're an experienced birder or just starting, our team members will be there to guide you.

Bring a lawn chair and binoculars—or borrow a pair from us—and enjoy the sights and sounds of local birdlife in one of The Woodlands’ most beautiful natural settings.
