SR21 is a 1,100-pound sculpture that was installed near Artist Grove Park in 2004. The sculpture was produced and donated by the 2003 art students at The John Cooper School, taught by Bob Mosier and designed by Sam White. The unique sculpture gets its name (SR21) from being installed in the village of Sterling Ridge and 2,100 feet above sea level. The sculpture is comprised of steel plates that were shaped, formed, and welded together. This is the only student-donated art piece in The Woodlands.
