Convention Center Expansion Study

Work has begun to determine the feasibility of expansion of The Woodlands Waterway Convention Center, a building owned by The Woodlands Township. Visit The Woodlands Board of Directors selected REVPAR International at its August 2020 meeting to determine the demand for more meeting space as the convention center comes up to its 20th anniversary. Revpar International is a full‐service advisory and asset management firm exclusively dedicated to the hospitality industry. The firm was established in 1992, giving it 30 years of successful service to the needs of the hospitality industry at large and its various stakeholders.

PURPOSE

This study will review historical hotel and convention center data, review competitive facilities in the region, determine demand of meetings in The Woodlands, prepare supply and demand estimates, develop facility recommendations with operating results, economic feasibility and economic impact. The study is expected to take approximately two months.
