On October 12-16, 2025, Visit The Woodlands welcomed the Bricks & Minifigs Conference (BAMCON) to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.

ABOUT BAMCON

Bricks & Minifigs began in 2003 as a small retail business for the purchase and trade of LEGO® items. Today, it boasts more than 200 franchise locations across the U.S. and Canada. BAMCON 2025 provided these franchise vendors an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate milestones. The theme for this year was Small Steps lead to Giant Leaps to emphasize the rapid growth of the industry and explore new ways to build on that growth. THE IMPACT

Hosting BAMCON resulted in 700 hotel rooms booked in The Woodlands, which represents a local economic impact of about $514,000. This is significant because, unlike cities, almost 60% of The Woodlands Township's budget comes from hotel occupancy, sales, and mixed-use beverage taxes. These funds from business and leisure travelers are vital, not only to the maintenance and development of the community, but also in keeping one of the lowest property tax rates in the nation.
