Gregg Harper, a 30-year hospitality veteran, has been promoted by CoralTree Hospitality to the role of managing director of The Woodlands Hotels. The trio of award-winning properties – The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, The Westin at The Woodlands and Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing – each offer a distinctive experience for business and leisure travelers in sought-after The Woodlands, a picturesque and amenity-laden community located just 30 miles north of downtown Houston.

According to Harper, “I’ve worked across the country, but I’m thrilled that I’ve been able to achieve many professional goals here with the support of an incredible team. The Woodlands truly deserves its accolades like best city in America, and I love being in a position to help showcase the best of the community though these three wonderful hotels.”

Most recently area general manager over The Woodlands Hotels, Harper relocated to The Woodlands in 2017, when he was appointed general manager of The Westin at The Woodlands. After two years in that role, he transferred to The Woodlands Resort to serve as general manager.

Prior to that he was employed with CoralTree Hospitality as general manager for Hotel Becket Lake Tahoe, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. He has also had general manager assignments at acclaimed properties such as Salishan Coastal Lodge in Gleneden Beach, OR; The Oxford Hotel in Bend, OR; Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle in Islamorada, FL; Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC; Kessler Canyon Ranch in Debeque, CO; Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, WA; and Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, FL. The Washington State University alum earned his Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Motel administration in addition to his Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Oregon State University.

During his down time, Harper enjoys fishing and is an avid equestrian. The Woodlands and its surroundings provide an array of opportunities for him to explore outdoor pursuits in a natural setting.
