The Westin at The Woodlands® has announced that it will reopen on July 1, 2020. The hotel team is currently taking reservations to welcome guests back to The Westin at The Woodlands overlooking Waterway Square®, just 30 minutes from downtown Houston. Prioritizing the health and safety of guests and staff, The Westin at The Woodlands has implemented pertinent social distancing and cleanliness guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as protocols in keeping with Marriott’s Commitment to Clean program for working to defeat COVID-19. 

Reservations for The Westin at The Woodlands are available for stays from July 1 onward, with reopening rates starting at $180.00. The cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to day of arrival.

HOTEL AMENITIES

As it reopens, The Westin at The Woodlands will offer a handful of amenities for guests to engage and enjoy. The hotel’s heated outdoor infinity pool, cabanas and new treelined pool deck featuring a fire pit will be open for guests daily, with towels provided as usual and poolside seating spaced for social distancing. Its fitness center will be open at a limited capacity, while spa services will temporarily remain unavailable. The hotel’s 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space will also be made available for guests and groups to reserve. Full meeting and events as well as catering and wedding services are available, with social distance sets that include wider aisles and increased distance between chairs. The Westin at The Woodland’s safe meeting plans include cleaning guidelines, meeting design, and room layout that considers traffic flow.

DINING OPTIONS

On the culinary front, the signature restaurant Sorriso Modern Italian Kitchen will continue to offer dinner daily from 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., with the authentic flavors of Italy and an extensive wine list compiled by Wine Director and General Manager Giorgio Ferrero. Early and even late-morning risers will be able to wake up to a wide selection of beverages and culinary items at the hotel’s in-house Starbucks®, which will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Como Social Club Poolside Terrace + Bar will be open on Fridays (8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.), Saturdays (11:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.), and Sundays (11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) with distinctive bites and handcrafted cocktails served for lunch and dinner. Live music will also be available on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. for guests to enjoy a relaxed ambience. 

With its setting within the Waterway Square district, guests of The Westin at The Woodlands are within convenient walking distance of a world of vibrant dining options and modern boutiques along The Woodlands Waterway including The Woodlands Mall. The Westin is adjacent to Waterway Square, featuring an outdoor green space, fountains and splash pad and office buildings housing many of The Woodlands’ major employers.

HEALTH & SANITATION PRACTICES

The safety of guests and staff is of highest priority for the reopening of The Westin at The Woodlands. Staff will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from masks to gloves, and temperature checks will be conducted on all staff prior to all shifts. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed at key entrances and contact areas. Both guests and staff will be expected to maintain at least six feet of social distancing.  In addition to the guidelines and cleaning procedures recommended by the CDC, the hotel will follow the new Commitment to Clean program as developed by the Marriott Cleanliness Council staffed by in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, which is refining the brand’s cleaning and safety standards. 

To limit entry of occupied guestrooms, housekeeping cleaning service will be provided only for stays of four nights or longer. Guests will receive daily towel and trash service, and amenities (soap, shampoo, coffee, etc,) will be available at the Front Desk. Guests can also receive cleaning service upon request. The Westin at The Woodlands uses cleaning products and protocols that meet EPA guidelines and are approved for use against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens.
