A cherished spring tradition returns to Town Green Park the weekend of April 10–12, 2026, inviting art lovers to experience creativity in full bloom at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. Produced by the local arts nonprofit The Woodlands Arts Council, the festival's proceeds directly support year-round arts programming, including local microgrants and student art scholarships. This year’s festival celebrates the moments when creativity becomes reality, bringing together artists and art lovers for a weekend where dreams take shape.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

This immersive outdoor exhibition features original fine artwork across 12 mediums, presented by 200 jury-selected regional, national, and international artists. Guests can explore painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, and more while enjoying live music on the Stella Artois Mainstage and three additional performance stages. The festival also offers Books On The Green, celebrating the literary arts; hands-on children’s activities at Artopoly, in partnership with The Woodlands Children’s Museum; as well as a curated selection of local food, craft beer, and fine wines.

FEATURED ARTIST

The 2026 Featured Artist is Taman VanScoy, an accomplished painter born in Santa Barbara and raised in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. Surrounded primarily by urban landscapes and drawn instinctively to nature, he began imagining expansive, dreamlike environments—where dreams take shape—that became the foundation of his artistic process.

VanScoy’s work is rooted in an early fascination with landscape and color and explores themes of renewal and new beginnings through the changing seasons. His featured painting, Spring Reflection, is inspired by Texas wildflowers and reflects his ongoing pursuit of peaceful, evocative landscapes that capture the beauty and quiet mystery of the natural world.

“The Arts Festival is a place where inspiration feels tangible,” said Jenny Carattini-Wright, Executive Director & CEO of The Woodlands Arts Council. “Taman VanScoy’s work beautifully captures the essence of dreaming boldly and bringing those dreams to life through art.”

Fine art of various types (paintings, photography, sculpture, etc.) are displayed under white tents along a tree-lined pathway in The Woodlands. People of all ages wander through, looking at and purchasing their favorite pieces.

Three colorful glass vases rest on pedestals at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. The one closest to the viewer looks like it contains bright green strands of sea grass. The focal piece is bright white and purple with bright orange rings within in. The most distant piece is blue with flecks of orange and brown.

AWARDS & ACCOLADES

Celebrating its continued legacy as one of Texas’ premier fine art festivals, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival has been consistently ranked among the Top 10 Outdoor Fine Arts Festivals in the Nation by Art Fair SourceBook for more than a decade.
