The Hughes Landing development along scenic Lake Woodlands features Restaurant Row offering great dinner and Happy Hour options and live music on Thursday evenings at the popular Rock the Row concert series from October 11 to November 15, 2018! The series features local and regional bands playing a variety of favorites from classic rock and pop to Motown hits. Needing to get around town? The Woodlands Waterway Trolley is a free transportation service that connects Hughes Landing to other popular areas for shopping, dining, entertainment and a handful of hotels. This 4.1-mile route is available for visitors and guests to use 7 days a week.

The Lighting of the Doves Festival on Saturday, November 17 is the annual kickoff of the holiday season in the community.  Symbolizing peace during the holidays, the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves hung on Lake Woodlands Bridge attracts thousands to town each year. No matter the season, the 1.4-mile-long tree lined Woodlands Waterway is lit with twinkling lights year-round.  Along your stroll, you will discover beautiful glass mosaic murals designed by local artist Dixie Friend Gay, art bench installations, and incredible natural flora and fauna.

Looking for a unique outdoor venue to hold a great evening reception? Look no further than Waterway Square, a one-acre plaza, considered the centerpiece of The Woodlands. With unique water features and open green space, Waterway Square is a blank canvas to create your next outdoor event. The public park can only be booked with the assistance of Visit The Woodlands for groups that are holding events in one of our fourteen local hotel properties. Waterway Square is adjacent to The Woodlands Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Westin The Woodlands and streets lined with great restaurants and bars with Happy Hour specials and shops that creates a vibrant and inviting experience.

Hoping to include a fun group activity?  We invite you to plan an ice skating party at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center. The rink is located at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in a 21,000-square-foot multipurpose facility equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, table rentals and concessions. Your attendees will delight in the opportunity to attempt such a quintessential winter sport! The Ice Rink operates from mid-November to mid-January and attracts over 50,000 skaters each season.
