It’s almost time for Spring Break! A child’s favorite time of year, a sign that school will soon be out and a weeklong break to refresh their minds is just what they need. It’s also a perfect way for adults to relax and unwind to feel refreshed. The Woodlands Resort has an entire Spring Break Activity Guide planned to do just that. Their family-friendly activity lineup definitely has me ready to go shopping for a new swimsuit, (reminder… make a stop at Market Street)!

At The Resort

Start each morning with a bike ride or by heading straight for the water slides!

The pool is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and the lazy river is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and slides are open 9 a.m. to dusk. Corn hole contests, arts & crafts, face painting and family bingo are just a few of the fun activities to enjoy while you relax poolside and watch the fun. Let the kids build their energy back up at an ice cream eating contest or the entire family can enjoy making s'mores under the stars.

Speaking of relaxing, poolside cabanas are also available for rent. Each cabana features a TV, refrigerator, ceiling fan, and stellar poolside service, (hello adult beverages)! After an afternoon of relaxing poolside, adults can enjoy a massage at the spa!

Complete each night with a family-friendly poolside movie under the stars!

The Resort’s Spring Break Package includes all the fun listed above and so much more. Book your stay online or by calling 281-367-1100.

Activities around the woodlands

While enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather, head over to the Riva Row Boat House and take the family for a swan boat ride along The Woodlands Waterway. Swan boat rentals are $25 for the first hour and are the perfect fit for a family of four. Kayak and paddle board rentals are also available at either Riva Row or the Lakes Edge Boat House in Hughes Landing.

For the younger children enjoying Spring Break, we suggest a visit to The Woodlands Children's Museum! An interactive learning exhibit featuring Clifford The Big Red Dog® is sure to keep them entertained while they also learn! Admission is $7 per person (adults and children over 1), and the museum is open daily during Spring Break week (March 10-17).

Whether you decide to enjoy views of The Waterway via swan boat, watch as the sun sets in Hughes Landing or hit up the spa for some much-needed rest and relaxation, a stay in The Woodlands is just what you need!
