Ibis

“Ibis” by Pedro S. de Movellán is located in Creekside Park Village Green. With a focus on a modern approach to nature, the hard-coated anodized aluminum and painted aluminum sculpture feature three leaf-shaped elements. Each leaf was constructed to carefully generate fluid movement in direct response to airflow and activity in the surrounding environment. Pedro is considered one of the most prominent kinetic sculptors in the modern day, his use of engineered works of art bridges the gap between engineering and art. Ibis was installed in 2020.
