Rise of the Midgard Serpent

"Rise of the Midgard Serpent" by Marc Rosenthal was installed in Lake Woodlands near Southshore Park in 1985. At 6 feet high, 1 foot wide, and a whopping 35 feet long, this is the longest art piece in The Woodlands. The Midgard Serpent can be best viewed from the water. For an up-close look at this water creature, rent a kayak from Lakes Edge Boat House in Hughes Landing. The sculpture can also be seen from the highway on via the Woodlands Parkway Bridge.
