Sam Houston State University - The Woodlands Center

Reflections to Mist is a striking art installation created for Sam Houston State University’s The Woodlands Center. Scaling the entire height of the four-story entry stairwell, the piece transforms the building’s interior into a vibrant reflection of the surrounding natural environment. Inspired by the pond and wetlands visible from the stair landings, the mosaic incorporates hand-formed ceramic renditions of pollen, wetland wildlife, and microscopic life across the bottom two floors. Extending beyond the building along the exterior wall, the artwork seamlessly integrates the space with its natural surroundings, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors.
