GO HIGH IN THE SKY

It’s a bucket list challenge like none other at Texas TreeVentures in The Woodlands! The outdoor climbing adventure park features a three-level aerial course and is located on the campus of The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park and The George Mitchell Nature Preserve. The course is built to the standards of the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) specifications, among the most stringent ropes safety standards in the world. TAKE AN ART SELFIE

Take a selfie at one of the many art benches or other pieces of public art located around town. We recommend starting at Hughes Landing because spotting the outdoor art sculptures is easy! From there, you can walk to several other art installations. Since 2014, thirty Art Benches have been commissioned and installed on and near The Woodlands Waterway, this program by The Woodlands Arts Council continues to add to the growing collection of commissioned public art.

Grandma's Purse

LOOK FOR GRANDMA'S PURSE

Interesting fact: People often report to Town Center Rangers that a woman left her purse in Waterway Square. But really, the discovery is actually a realistic sculpture called “Treasures from Grandma’s Purse.” It’s located in the one-acre public plaza with a unique water feature and green space. Wear your water-friendly clothes and go check out the sculpture and enjoy the water feature. This is also a great place to meet up for a run around The Waterway. Waterway Square is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight.

PACK A PICNIC

Sure, you may have your favorite park, but why not try something new? Pack a picnic and head out to one of the many parks in The Woodlands. Parks like Bear Branch Park, Terramont Park, Creekwood Park, and Northshore Park feature well-accommodated picnic areas. All of these parks are well suited for an afternoon of enjoying the outdoors, providing amenities like covered gazebos and restrooms. From disk golf to skate parks and sand volleyball courts, each park offers the opportunity for you to enjoy various activities!
