PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Mary works within the Marketing Department which serves as the official voice for Visit The Woodlands in messaging to meeting planners, leisure travelers, media, and hospitality industry partners. As Public Relations Coordinator for Visit The Woodlands, Mary is responsible for developing strategic partnerships, gaining earned media coverage, and fostering media relations. She also serves as a liaison between Visit The Woodlands and local hospitality businesses, and enjoys working within the community to increase brand awareness and elevate visitor experiences around The Woodlands.
Mary has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Concentration in Strategic Communications from the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas. Previously, she worked with VisitDFW, a joint venture between Dallas-Fort Worth tourism stakeholders. During her time as Manager of Content Development for VisitDFW, she collaborated with influencers and local partners to create authentic stories that promoted the DFW region.
Mary loves exploring different destinations around Texas and discovering what makes them unique. She’s always at the ready to share (and listen to) suggestions about where to travel next. When she’s not working, Mary is often found hiking, listening to live music, reading at local coffee shops, or looking up at the stars while camping at a Texas State Park.
