Annual Art Events

The Woodlands is home to many annual events celebrating the arts with one of the largest happening every April: The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. With live performances, eye-catching art for sale, and beautiful scenery, this three-day festival is one you don't want to miss. ARTFEEL

Express yourself during ARTFEEL, a quarterly event that focuses on The Woodlands' public art. The Woodlands Arts Council hosts this public art appreciation event throughout the year, each time highlighting a different piece of public art. Come admire the artwork and listen as people share their "artfeel": how the art piece makes them feel, expressed in word, song, dance, and poetry. Everyone who participates is allotted 2 minutes or less to use the artwork as a creative prompt and express how they feel, without rules or judgement. 

ARTS IN THE PARK

Enjoy an afternoon outdoors with family and friends at Arts in The Park, a free event that celebrates the arts. Shop from local vendors selling original artwork, experience live entertainment from theatrical and musical groups, enjoy food trucks, and more. Arts in The Park happens twice throughout the year, once in the spring, and once in the fall. The event theme is new every time, making it a fun and unique experience no matter when you attend.

FINE ARTS SHOW AT MARKET STREET

Once in the spring and once in the fall, Market Street hosts a Fine Arts Show with amazing artwork for sale. Walk up and down rows of talented artists and vendors showcasing their paintings, sculptures, photography, jewelry, mixed media and other works of art at this free, day-long event.

SELF-GUIDED PUBLIC ART TOUR

Even when there's not an art event happening in The Woodlands, there's plenty of public art to explore. From the mosaics at Market Street to Art Benches along The Woodlands Waterway, you're sure to find unique pieces of art everywhere you look. Can you find - and sit on - all of the art benches in one walk? Why not drive through town and admire the 50+ sculptures located along pathways and public parks? Create an event of your own while you're in town by exploring the mosaics, sculptures, and art benches spread throughout The Woodlands.
