For the second year in a row, the AVA Digital Awards has recognized Visit The Woodlands for excellence in digital creativity, branding, and strategy. This year, Visit The Woodlands received a platinum award, a gold award, and an honorable mention from the AVA Awards.

The AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence in digital communication, ranging from digital campaigns to social media and website development. The AVA Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), one of the oldest, largest, and most respected evaluators of creative work in the marketing and communication industry.

PLATINUM AVA AWARD: "ART GLADNESS" SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
"Art Gladness", a social media campaign launched in March 2023, received a Platinum AVA Award in the Web-Based Production - Social Media - Game/Contest/Promotion category. This campaign promoted local art in The Woodlands using a bracket-style competition that encouraged Instagram users to vote for their favorite art pieces using Instagram Story Polls. Over the course of the course of three weeks, more than 3,000 votes were cast. "At Water's Edge" by Dixie Friend Gay was chosen as the winning art piece for "Art Gladness".
Along with this recent recognition from the AVA Digital Awards, "Art Gladness" has received a Gold W3 Award and an Honorable Mention in the MarCom Awards.

GOLD AVA AWARD: "#SOWOODLANDS" E-MAGAZINE
#SoWoodlands, a new print and digital publication from Visit The Woodlands, received a Gold AVA Award in the Digital Marketing - Content Marketing - E-Magazine category. This publication shares stories about members of The Woodlands community, including business-owners, hoteliers, General Managers and more. #SoWoodlands shines a spotlight on the people who make The Woodlands a special place to visit, and in doing so, further establishes Visit The Woodlands as a resource for visitors and community members. Since the first issue was published in November 2022, #SoWoodlands online stories have received more than 5,000 pageviews, and approximately 5,000 print copies of the publication have been distributed to the community.
#SoWoodlands has also received a Gold MarCom Award, and a Destination Excellence Award from the Texas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

HONORABLE MENTION: CONNECT TEXAS EVENT RECAP VIDEO
In October 2023, Visit The Woodlands hosted Connect Texas, a conference for meeting planners and suppliers. This event brought over 200 meeting planners and suppliers from across the country to The Woodlands for networking and education sessions. At the Connect Texas opening reception, presented by Visit The Woodlands, there were several activations that showcased the "9 Wanders of The Woodlands". The Connect Texas Recap video highlighted this campaign, along with moments from the rest of the conference.
